The subject of Tattoos seems to be one of those things where you either love them or hate them. Some people cannot wait to get the next tattoo to adorn their body while other people find it difficult to understand why anyone would have permanent marks inked on their skin.
Getting A Tattoo Might Be Something You Wish You Never Did
Getting a tattoo might seem like a good idea at the time but it can sometimes be something you wish you had never done when, in years to come, you see the world slightly differently. When you no longer feel like the rebel you did when you were young and you wanted to stand out in a crowd.
This seems to be the case for Kimberley Vlaeminck who had 56 stars tattooed on her face three years ago. At the time she made the news by claiming that she had fallen asleep and the tattooist had carried on adding more and more stars to the three she claimed to have originally requested.
Eventually she owned up to saying that just so her Dad didn’t get too upset with her and she had in fact asked for all 56 stars to be tattooed aver her face. Now she says she wishes she had never had the tattoos done and she is expecting to have to spend around $18,000 to have laser surgery to remove them.
Tattoos Are Permanent But Your Attitude May Change Over Time
The problem with tattoos is that they are pretty much permanent. You can have laser surgery to remove them but that is expensive and apparently leaves little white marks on the skin where the tattoo use to be. So, not only do you have the expense of getting the original tattoo but if you change your mind you then have the additional cost of removal.
The lesson from all of this must surely be, never have a tattoo until you have spent some time considering all aspects of how it will look now, how it will look in twenty years time and how you will feel about your tattoo in five or ten years. If you have any doubts then maybe you should reconsider or just get some temporary tattoos which look pretty effective without leaving permanent marks.
